The CEHS Student Ambassadors participate in information fairs for high school students who are considering enrolling at CEHS and in answering questions or addressing concerns of current or potential students. Student Ambassadors may also participate in community service projects, a phone-a-thon at the WVU Foundation, commencement, recruitment events, and more.

West Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children
The West Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children Student Chapter is a group for WVU students to become part of a professional community in preparation for launching careers in early childhood education. Through the association, the students are offered opportunities to work with young children and professionals in the field.
Communication Sciences and Disorders Majors
National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA)
The NSSLHA is a pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders. Students in this organization take the opportunity to do community service projects across campus, as well as raise funds to help individuals in the West Virginia University Speech Center.
Student Academy of Audiology (SAA)
The SAA was created to provide a direct connection between the student and his/her future professional home and discipline. The goal of SAA is to provide students with a venue for information, resources, leadership, mentorship, and student-to-student networking opportunities as they progress through their educational programs and transition to professional status.

Education Student Governance Association (ESGA)
The ESGA organizes activities that bring students in the Five-Year Teacher Education Program together for the purposes of mentoring, leadership, collaboration, and celebration. An important organization in the governance structure of the WVU Five-Year Teacher Education Program ESGA is comprised of representatives from the tutor, participant, and intern cohorts who want to have a voice in teacher education.
West Virginia Student Education Association (WVSEA)
WVSEA is the WVU chapter of the West Virginia Student Education Association, which is a National Education Association Affiliate. WVSEA members at WVU receive: liability insurance for all their field placement experiences; access to the NEA library of resources; an annual magazine, Tomorrow’s Teachers; The West Virginia School Journal, The Circuit; local professional development sessions with guest speakers in education; participation in local service and tutoring projects; and a membership rebate in the NEA after graduation
Phi Delta Kappa (PDK)
PDK is an international professional fraternity for men and women in education. The membership is composed of professionals in the field of education, graduate students preparing for careers in education, and undergraduates who are enrolled in or have successfully completed their internships, or student teaching. Membership is obtained by chapter invitation.

HESA is a student group which provides professional development, social activity, and service among those students enrolled in the Higher Education Administration masters or doctoral programs at CEHS.

American Rehabilitation Counseling Association
The purpose of the WVU Chapter of the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association is to be an organized support group for all students in the Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program. The organization provides a student liaison among faculty and students and will provide the opportunity for networking among students and rehabilitation professionals. The organization is an advocacy group in the support of disability rights in the WVU community and the community at large. They also provide volunteer services to many community organizations and invite guest professionals to speak on their topic.
Chi Sigma Iota
Chi Sigma Iota is the international honor society of professional counseling. It was established for counselors-in-training, counselor educators, and professional counselors whose career commitment is to research and service through professional counseling. Its mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.
Speak Out Reach Out
The mission of the Speak Out Reach Out student organization is to enhance the appreciation, awareness, and discussion of diversity and traditionally marginalized groups at WVU through workshops, forums, presentations, trainings, advocacy, and local/university outreach initiatives. We also aim to foster a supportive environment for individuals either representing or interested in diverse backgrounds.

Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC)
The WVU Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) is a student organization for campus-based undergraduate and graduate students. Students elect officers, hold monthly meetings, and plan and hold special events with guidance form a faculty advisor. At times, some members attend state and national CEC conferences.
