Michelle Principe is CEHS’ teacher certification program manager in the Office of Student Success. Prior to her role at CEHS, Principe was an adjunct professor and student teacher supervisor for Department of Curriculum and Instruction/Literacy Studies. Before moving to Morgantown, Principe was an elementary school teacher in Ohio for 12 years and a Title I coordinator for five years. Principe earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University and her master’s degree in educational administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She also holds her principal’s license in both Ohio and West Virginia.

Barbara Griffin graduated with the RBA in 2004, emphasis in COMM Studies and Gerontology certification. She obtained her master's degree with Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism in 2008, and was involved with the 'Cancer Stories' documentary and book, Veterans History Project (WVU and Library of Congress), Production of West Virginians Remember World War II with Producer Russ Barbour (PBS) and Documentary, and the 'Starting Over' Project with Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism. She is also a Hospice volunteer for Mercy Ministries with Chestnut Ridge Church, and full time recruiter for the RBA program.

Semoa De Sousa-Brown

Dr. De Sousa-Brown earned both her Masters and Ph.D. from WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, after spending years working in Africa and in Rome, Italy for Food and Agriculture Organization, UN.  Both her MS Thesis and Ph.D. Dissertation as well as her other research papers centered around development-related issues, like income inequality, high school dropouts, human capital, small businesses and entrepreneurship and economic growth of West Virginia.  Dr. De Sousa-Brown has more than 15 years of experience in Higher Education, advising, teaching and mentoring diverse student populations, where 8 of these years have been in International Education (Study Abroad).  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Council for International Programs. She enjoys cooking, sewing, outdoor activities, meeting new people and learning about new languages and cultures.

Amy Diznoff earned both her RBA and MA in Communication Studies from WVU. Prior to her assuming her role as a Developmental Advising Specialist she managed the Student Employment program, worked with WVU Extension, and the NASA WV Space Grant. Amy has more than 10 years of experience in higher education and truly enjoys helping student achieve their full potential. She is a certified Pilates instructor and enjoys reading, Netflix, and spending time with her dog and 2 cats.

Colton Metzger earned both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating with his Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education he moved to Morgantown, WV to begin his career in higher education. He was previously a Financial Aid Counselor before transitioning into his current role. Colton has over five years of experience in higher education and has focused his research on the integration and development of college students from non-traditional families. Colton is a passionate advocate for all marginalized identities and ensures every student feels welcome and safe in their advising environment.
