Private Foundation Grants

All Foundation Grant submissions and reports should be coordinated through the Office of Advancement in order to continue a coordinated College and University Effort. 

Foundation Grant Submission Guidelines

  1. Identify foundation to which the grant proposal will be submitted.
  2. Send information to CEHS Development Director ( Amy Lutz), who will coordinate with the WVU Foundation to confirm there are no other University conflicts.
  3. Once approved, you will receive a word document with the necessary grant approval information to complete and which will accompany your proposal through the internal review process. 
  4. Prepare your proposal within the word document according to the donor agency guidelines.  The CEHS Chief Business Officer ( Clifton Colebank) will work with you and the WVU Foundation on budget information. 
  5. Send completed proposal (within provided word document) back to the CEHS Development Office for submission to the agency/foundation/corporation.  If any changes are made, a copy will be sent to you for final approval before final submission.
  6. Notification will be sent to you once submission is completed. 

Foundation Grant Reporting Guidelines

  1. The WVU Foundation will send the Development Director and the faculty grant director an email 90, 60, and 30 days before a grant report is due. 
  2. You will receive a word document with the necessary grant report information for you to complete. The CEHS Chief Business Officer (Clifton Colebank) will work with you and the Foundation on budget information For the report 
  3. Send completed report (within provided work document) back to the CEHS Development Office for submission. If any changes are made, a copy will be sent to you for final approval before final submission.
  4. Notification will be sent to you once submission is final.
